TENNENT BROWN ARCHITECTS ANNOUNCE NEW SHAREHOLDERS
This week Tennent Brown Architects announced changes within our shareholder and leadership team.
Brenda Solon (senior associate), Yiwen Seow (associate), Julie Cook (associate) and Clayton Viljoen join directors Hugh and Ewan as shareholders, alongside principal Kevin Lux. Clayton has also been promoted to associate.
Brenda, Yiwen, Julie and Clayton are all highly skilled architects and valued long-standing members of the Tennent Brown whānau.
Brenda joined Tennent Brown in 2007 and is now a senior associate - and one of our longest-serving team members. A calm presence in the office, she excels in both the design stages and the practicalities of delivering large projects. Brenda has been the project architect on numerous award-winning projects.
Yiwen is a leader in all stages of her project work as well as within the office. An excellent project architect, she also advocates for diversity and inclusion at Tennent Brown and was involved with the process of obtaining our B-Corp certification. This has fed into the passion and values that she brings to her architectural work.
Julie joined Tennent Brown in 2017 as a senior architect after working in London for Foster & Partners on a wide range of large complex projects. She brings an avid interest and specialist skill set for buildings with a cultural and community-based focus and is currently leading the Living Pa project – our ambitious Living Building Challenge project for Victoria University.
Clayton has been with Tennent Brown since 2021, bringing with him ten years’ experience working in South Africa and Namibia. In that time, he’s proved himself adept at delivering large and complex projects. Clayton’s attention to detail and problem-solving skills are complemented by his unique sense of humour. He is an excellent choice for an associate role in the leadership team.
Hugh and Ewan and the rest of the Tennent Brown whānau whakamihi the newly promoted members of the management team.
