The new community centre brings much needed resources to an isolated part of Aotearoa. The new build includes a medical centre, tribal offices, general store, community garden, radio station, motel, laundry, marketplace and inviting outdoor spaces.
The new project is the third major building project for the Iwi and a huge milestone following the Crown Treaty of Waitangi settlements.
Designed by Tennent Brown Architects, the building looks to improve the local economy and promote health and wellbeing for the region.
