Basin Reserve

Player's Pavilion

The player’s pavilion project arose from a Tennent Brown led masterplan of the Basin Reserve. TB had completed the caretakers pavilion on the grounds South West corner with the masterplan focused on rejuvenating crowd numbers of the Basin whilst retaining the charm and public resource of the famous ground with NZ’s largest roundabout.

The form is an expression of views and containment for the teams in the drama of the game, and seeks to give character to the Basin’s long tradition of the home to New Zealand test cricket.
